Ride ElectricFind a shop

How we verify

Every listing starts from the shop's own website. A listing turns Verified only when the shop confirms its details in writing.

Where listing details come from

We read each shop's own website, or its own social media page when it has no website, and record what it says about the vehicles it sells and repairs, the brands it carries, battery work and hours. Anything the shop doesn't state shows as “Unknown”.

We use OpenStreetMap and web searches only to find shops. Details always come from the shop itself. The map pin comes from the shop's street address, looked up in a government address service.

What the badges mean

  • Listed: the details come from the shop's own website and the shop hasn't confirmed them yet.
  • Verified: the shop confirmed its details in writing, including whether it repairs vehicles bought online. The badge shows the month it confirmed.

We ask Verified shops to confirm their details again every year. A listing that hasn't been confirmed in 12 months goes back on our re-check list.

Rules pages

Each provincial and city rules page cites the law or official government page behind every rule, and shows the date we last checked it. When a province changes its rules, we update the page and add the change to its history.

Corrections and removal

Shop owners can correct any detail or ask us to remove their listing. Email hello@rideelectric.ca with the listing's link and what should change. A correction sent from the shop's own email address can also turn the listing Verified.

Riders can report a closed shop or a wrong detail the same way. We check it against the shop's website or with the shop before changing the listing.

Listings are free, and shops can't pay to be listed or to be marked Verified.
